Hello

Last Saturday night I was working an event at\ the crown plaza coogee bay- (nice staff I must say) anyway

The event was an important rewards night for the clients high end achievers (and I am talking HIGH end)

They hired me, a photographer and a videographer

now I turned up as did the photographer but the video guy didn't turn up at all, and the client couldn't get hold of them- Oh my god I have been at some events where people have turned up late, but never when a service has not even turned up, I think that is terrible (unless he was in a car accident) is this common

Is it common to have services not turn up- or is it common for services to cancel at the last minute if something better (as in higher paying) comes their way

I thought it was really really bad that the video guy didn't turn up- I could see the disappointment in the organisers face and slight embarrassment that they selected him, and he not only turn up.

a shame too because it was a really great event with everyone not over drinking and genuinely really nice people

anyway- is this common
